The 13th annual Amber Waves of Grain Competition is coming soon.  This year the competition is being held about 2 months earlier than previous years.  The competition will be held on Friday, March 6th and Saturday March 7th, 2009.  Entries will be accepted between Saturday, January 17th, 2009 and Saturday, February 21st, 2009.  Complete rules and entry information will be available on this site shortly.  Start brewing today to have your best beers ready for one of the most prestigious homebrew competitions.

Winners will be announced LIVE at the Brewers Night Out Banquet beginning at 6:30 on the University at Buffalo, North Campus MAP

Score sheets and certificates will be available at the banquet and may be picked-up by attendees of the banquet. Attendees may pick-up score sheets and awards for friends and club members (signature and ID will be required)

Awards will be announced on this site and the NYSHOTY website within 48 hours of the competition.

 Well not quite.  We are a group of fun-loving but serious homebrewers.  We take pride in brewing great beer and love to share it with each other and with people that really appreciate the art of homebrewing.  Our members brew using all the different methods of homebrewing; extract, kit brewing, partial mash and all-grain.  Some have been brewed just a couple of batches and some have brewed hundreds of batches.  Our members range from 21 years old to ... um ... much more senior than that.  We come from all different backrounds and have many different ideals and beliefs.  The common bond we have is the beer.
